Business Studies

Curriculum Overview

Learners are set in mixed ability groups with five periods per two week cycle.

The exam board is AQA Business Studies (A linear Course) and the scheme of work has been developed in-house.

Learners study six topics that include influences on business, business in the real world, marketing, finance, human resources and business operations. The course is assessed with two external papers, which will be taken at the end of the Key Stage 4. The specific assessment objectives for Business Studies are Knowledge (A01), Application (A02), Analyse and Evaluate (A03).
